Making Inferences
Assignment #2
You make an INFERENCE when you combine information that isn't directly from the text with the information in the text in order to draw new conclusions. To do this, you use background knowledge, prior knowledge, and your own life experiences to help you make guesses about the text.

Bonus!Watch the video of a whirlpool (also called a maelstrom). A whirlpool is a body of swirling water produced by the meeting of opposing currents. These natural dangers are able to pull objects down under the water.
